Meet Our Instructors

As a non-profit organization, our dojo is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Kyoshi Stephen Curley. The board of directors, alongside our passionate instructors, brings together over a century of martial arts expertise to share and inspire our community.

All of our instructors are First Aid and CPR certified, background checked, and bring years of martial arts experience to every class. Their training, rankings, and certifications extend beyond the United States to Okinawa, Japan — the birthplace of Karate-do — ensuring authentic, high-quality instruction rooted in tradition and real-world application.

"While Karate has great health and mental benefits, it must first and foremost be a life protection art that is effective in real world situations. Students should be well rounded in their training, with awareness to avoid physical confrontations, but if necessary, they should be able to perform well under pressure with strong striking, joint locks, ground fighting and all other areas of combat. "
